“Riga Food” – a place where food industry professionals from European Union and other countries meet every year to promote their businesses and learn about the latest developments in food and beverages production, processing, the latest technologies, packaging solutions, solutions from stores and public catering enterprises, hotel equipment and services, and to participate in the sector business forum and competitions for international food industry professionals.
International interest in “Riga Food 2009”
Foreign food manufacturers are interested in the Baltic food market. Such companies as Landhof (Austria), Consorzio Por Pizza (Italy), Ako S.A. and SPS Handel (Poland), Ajinomoto (Thailand), Kamat International (Pakistan) and other are the first time participants of Riga Food 2009.
The international significance of “Riga Food is ensured by foreign participating companies and national collective stands presenting enterprises of one country seeking partners for cooperation in the Baltic countries. “Riga Food 2009 will present 21 collective stands – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Italy, Poland, France, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, Germany (Rhineland-Palatinate Region), Belgium (Walloon Region), Sweden, India, Vietnam, China, Sri Lanka, Denmark and the Czech Republic. The European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development on its turn will provide information about the common agricultural policy in the EU.
The 14th international exhibition of food, beverages, food processing, technologies, packaging, catering, hotel and shop equipment, and services – “Riga Food 2009” – will take place on 9–12 September 2009 at the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre. “Riga Food 2009” will present a wide programme of supplementary events, demonstrations and competitions.
